National Backpack Awareness Day : Sept 21, 2005

After learning how to properly pack and wear a backpack at our National School Backpack Awareness Day “Weigh In” Event at the Palisades Center Mall, children in our community can head off to school with one less weight on their shoulders. Students from Columbia University’s Programs in Occupational Therapy assisted us to teach local children to Pack It Light and Wear It Right as a part of the American Occupational Therapy Association’s national campaign.
